Court Ordered Community Service Program

Forgotten Harvest’s Court Ordered Community Service Program has partnered with the local judicial system to offer volunteer opportunities for individuals who have been ordered by the court to perform mandated community service hours.

The Court Ordered Community Service Program requires a mandatory community service orientation, which is ONLY offered on Mondays at 1:30 pm at the Eight Mile Warehouse -- you MUST register, there will be NO walk-ins. You must bring your court ordered paperwork of your offense and a valid ID.

Court Ordered Community Service can ONLY be completed at the Eight Mile Warehouse. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Forgotten Harvest does not accept persons convicted of:

• any felony charges
• any act of violence
• sexual misconduct
• illegal drug charges

Work First/PATH Program 

Forgotten Harvest’s Work First/PATH Program has partnered with the Michigan Department of Health and Services (MDDHS). These volunteers are required to complete a certain number of hours (depending on the county they reside in) to keep their MDDHS benefits. 

The Work First/PATH Program requires a mandatory community service orientation, which is ONLY offered on Mondays at 1:30 pm at the Eight Mile Warehouse -- you MUST register, there will be NO walk-ins. You must bring your Work First/PATH paperwork and a valid ID.

Work First/PATH volunteers can ONLY be completed at the Eight Mile Warehouse.

Court ordered community service and Work First/PATH Program volunteers will help with the set-up of re-pack. Help re-pack nutritious food into family size portions destined for the table of those in need.  Help with clean-up of work area at end of shift. Assist in warehouse with cardboard break down, cleaning, and other warehouse duties
