September 2025 - Client Choice Mobile Market Assistant - 26155 Richardson, Dearborn Heights

Description

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR OPPORTUNITY

Forgotten Harvest’s Client Choice Mobile Market will allow those in need to select their own food instead of receiving a prepacked or standard bag of groceries. With this method, those in need do not have to take items they already have, do not like, or cannot eat for health or personal reasons.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the following:

  • Greeting all clients cheerfully
  • Assisting clients in the entire grocery selection process
  • Push the cart and help to bag items
    • You will need to be able to push a cart full of groceries, which may be 100+ pounds
  • Prepare and maintain mobile pantry for optimum client experience
  • Labeling sections of food as it is shelved
  • Weigh bags of groceries on small scales as well as push the cart onto the large scale for inventory tracking purposes
  • Checking for outdated expiration dates and labeling expiration dates on new food
  • Walk client to the check-out area, hand client card to cashier, and place groceries into clients car then bring cart back inside
  • Receive food deliveries and place into shelving locations
  • Shelving and restocking food
  • Helping with clean-up and organization throughout the shift or during closing time

*Volunteers should be 18 years or older. Must be able to lift at least 25+ pounds*
